You aren’t just “working from home”. You’re doing everything from home while also trying to get some work done. Now is a good time to cut yourself some slack. It’s ok if you don’t feel motivated. It’s ok if you aren’t fired up. Don’t “should” yourself right now.
I always forget how hard it is to get up the first few days after daylight savings. My body protests the loss of an hour and it’s still dark outside for a while after my alarm goes off. How did you feel when your alarm went off this morning? How did you want to feel? Remember it all starts with your thoughts. Sometimes our thoughts are so conditioned that we aren’t even aware of them. If your first thought upon awakening is something along the lines of “how long is it until I can get back in bed?” You’re in good company. Many women wake up thinking of all they have to do in the day ahead and just want to turn the alarm off and stay in bed. Recognizing your thoughts is the first step to changing them. Starting tomorrow when you wake up, write down the first thought/s that come up as well as how your feeling. Do this for several days.
